Marie Curie Sklodowska was a Polish-born Physicist, famous for her work on radioactivity and for twice being the recipient of the Nobel Prize.  Along with Henri Becquerel and her husband, Pierre Curie, she was awarded the 1903 Nobel Prize for Physics.  She was also the sole winner of the 1911 Nobel Prize for Chemistry.  In addition to being the first woman to win a Nobel Prize, Marie Curie Sklodowska was notably the only woman to win the award in two separate fields. The MCSCF Bursary exists to assist in the education of deserving youth or adult students enrolled in post-secondary education, at a recognized British Columbia institution within a human healthcare field. The Bursary is funded by the M. Kopernik Foundation and other donors.  This Foundation shares the value in financially supporting the training of future healthcare professionals in our province.  We welcome donors who would like to contribute to the bursary program.  You can donate by contacting the Administration office at 604-438-2474 ext 221 or by email: admin@kopernik-lodge.bc.ca for more information.
