Kopernik Lodge Winter 2026: The Heart of Our Heritage: Life at Kopernik Lodge

Wow! What a wonderful winter we’ve had!
We’ve been busy this past winter season, with so much to do and so much to celebrate!

We’ve celebrated the holiday season with Christmas giving, tree trimming, and Santa visiting. We’ve celebrated New Year’s Eve, and Chinese New Year. And we’ve celebrated love, friendship and family with Valentines Day fun.

From unforgettable performances to delicious culinary creations, there’s been so much to celebrate! Our residents were treated to dance performances, filled with music, energy, and heartwarming moments—captured beautifully in photos throughout this newsletter. You’ll also discover our Employee Spotlight, along with engaging features on what we did on Valentines and St.Patricks Day and so much more.

Our recreation team brought residents together, crafting delicious pancake masterpieces that were as fun to make as they were to enjoy. The energy continued with more vibrant cultural performances, including the Polonez Polish Folk Dance Ensemble, whose intricate steps and rich traditions lit up the room.

We also shared the love with a festive Valentine’s celebration, complete with a lively Happy Hour, photo booth fun. So grab a warm beverage, settle into your favourite chair, and take a moment to explore all the wonderful memories we’ve created together.

Kopernik Lodge Autumn 2025: A Season of Celebration, Culture, and Community!

In our autumn newsletter we learn about the beauty and spirit of the season, from reflections on October’s iconic autumn colours to meaningful cultural features such as the Polish word Jesień (autumn).

Festive traditions took centre stage with featured events on Oktoberfest, Birthdays and Halloween, such as dress up costumes, beer tasting, music, singing and a magic show.

Check out the Bookmarks Display created by Sara who is only eights years old! She dedicated her generous time and talents too create bookmarks for the Residents to enjoy.
